This project reimagines a family home in Whitstable, Kent, with a modern extension that enhances space, functionality and aesthetic appeal. The proposal introduces a rear and side extension that seamlessly integrates with the existing structure while elevating its architectural character. The vision focuses on creating light-filled, versatile spaces tailored to contemporary living.

The ground floor features an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area complemented by a snug, utility room and under-stair storage. Thoughtful design elements such as pocket doors, feature art walls and built-in storage maximize usability and style. Upstairs, the layout includes a master suite with dressing area and en-suite, two additional bedrooms and a family bathroom, all benefiting from natural light through roof lights and gable windows.

Externally, the design employs a refined material palette; light grey and beige brickwork, timber cladding and textured detailing to harmonize with the local context while introducing a fresh, modern identity.
