Our Borden Gates project in Andover transforms a former 1980s Sainsbury’s site into a vibrant, sustainable community. Positioned at a key gateway where Bridge Street meets Western Avenue, this brownfield development is central to the town’s regeneration and aligns with Test Valley Borough Council’s Future of Andover Masterplan.

Delivered in partnership with Donard Affordable Homes, the scheme provides 71 high-quality, affordable homes. A mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments designed to national space standards. Ground-floor retail units ensure active street frontages, while the design reinstates historic street patterns disrupted by past road schemes. The architecture draws inspiration from Andover’s Georgian and Victorian heritage, reinterpreting traditional features such as varied rooflines and brick detailing in a contemporary way.
